Job Title: Housekeeper Public Area Attendant
Reporting to: Housekeeping Supervisor / Housekeeping Manager
Responsible for: Guest Satisfaction
Overall Objectives: To act as a hotel ambassador and always deliver a luxury guest service. Provide guests with an effective and efficient level of service to meet and exceed their expectations.
Primary work area: Rooms, public areas
The Hotel
The Hampton by Hilton Bath City opened its doors in February 2022, containing 202 bedrooms within six storeys is within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, perfectly situation to bring life and vibrancy to the Bath Conservation Area.
The hotel includes a lobby bar, 24 hour snacks and gym at street level, improving the public realm, the local streetscape and the views from the hills. The building façade has been designed to maintain and complement the character and high-quality architecture of the area whilst bringing a modern twist. Our priority is on delivering an exceptional guest experience in a beautiful hotel.
Responsibilities and Duties:
People
· To act as an ambassador for the hotel and new starters
· Provide day to day operational support to all hotel departments
· Drive Housekeeping KPIs related to quality (TripAdvisor, Google+, etc).
· To support Housekeeping by highlighting departmental issues
· To always Display hotel culture & values
· Complete mandatory training & be aware of hotel policies
· Flexibility with a variety of all shifts as per business needs
· Flexibility to respond to a variety of difficult work situations
Quality
· To engage with guests, members, VIPS, etc as a hotel ambassador
· To drive service standards to ensure guest expectations are met and exceeded.
· To maintain a high level of cleanliness in hotel public areas such as lobbies, restaurants, restrooms, elevators, hallways, management offices and gym
· Maintain a cleaning schedule
· Clean, arrange and maintain hotel equipment
· Attend to all daily assigned tasks in restrooms, lifts, back areas, and outside areas
· Have full knowledge of all hotel facilities, working hours, the restaurant section
· To report any maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance department immediately
· Offer assistance to the hotel guests in public areas when asked
· To ensure that Lost Property standards are followed and always displayed
· To understand and have a working knowledge of all current Health and Safety policies
· To ensure that chemicals and cleaning products are used and stored correctly
Other
· Support in all areas of the business
· All other reasonable duties assigned by hotel management
Person Specification
Skills and Abilities
* Communication and interpersonal skills. Multitasking and time management ability.
* Experience of cleaning products Diversey, etc.
Experience
* At least 1 year experience in a hotel role (Such as HSK, F&B, FOH etc.)
-1+ Year Housekeeping experience in 100+ bedroom hotel. Independent hotel experience preferred.
Knowledge
- Understanding of customer service knowledge.
- Knowledge and experience of London hotel market.
