We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Typist to join our Facilities Management team on our Metropolitan Police South East London maintenance contract based at Bromley Police Station. This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Key activities:
To provide support on the contract by producing typed summaries of taped interviews, transcripts, and typing witness/victim statements.
To work as part of the overall typing team covering across the contract, where necessary
Provide general administrative support, as required
To assist with the preparation of reports and documents
To ensure delivery of consistently high standards of customer service
Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Skills, qualifications & experience:
Speed and accuracy is essential
Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm and educated to GCSE Level or Equivalent
Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word
Attention to detail
Excellent proof-reading skills
Well organised and able to prioritise a busy workload
A can do attitude
Successful applicants will be subject to Metropolitan Police security vetting
