Construkt RS are working with a longstanding repetable consultancy who specialsie in Mechancial and Electrical Building services.
They work in a number of sectors which include commercial, healthcare and defence.
The have offices in London and Woking and due to more project wins they are looking to add a Senior Mechanical Engineer to the team.
The role will be based in Woking, Surrey to work on a range of projects across a variety of sectors. Due to the nature of the role, site visits will obviously be required, and the applicant must be prepared to travel nationwide though the majority of our work is currently in London and the South East.
They undertake a significant number of projects within the Healthcare sector, therefore candidates with a history of experience of projects in the healthcare/hospital sector would be advantageous.
Experience in areas such as Operating Theatres, MRI/CT scanners, Endoscopy and a detailed working knowledge of Health Technical memorandum (HTM’s) and Health Building Notes (HBN’s) is desirable.
They also undertake a significant amount of work in other sectors, and the variety of this work has led to the growth of the company in the Defence sector, so any experience in the areas of Ministry of Defence, data centres and Defence facilities would also be advantageous. so whilst the above experience is desirable, it is not essential as they operate in other sectors.
The successful candidates will be working under our Mechanical Associate Directors
Main duties - To name a few:
1. Design and specify the following systems for integration into the overall designs of multiple projects, acting as part of the larger design team: • HVAC systems. • Hot and cold water systems. • Above-ground drainage
2. Attend project meetings with clients and professional team.
3. Review calculations produced by our dynamic modeler using IES to ensure these reflect the building and its usage.
4. Produce drawings and specifications in line with client requirements.
5. Carry out condition surveys, dilapidation surveys or specific surveys to provide information for stock condition/asset management systems, and/or to aid asset appraisal, and report in the appropriate format.
6. Attend project meetings with clients and professional team.
7. Produce drawings and specifications in line with client requirements.
8. Undertake surveys and produce CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) reports
9. Input into Part L calculations.
10. Input into BREEAM calculations and design.
Due to the nature of the Healthcare & Defence works that are a large section of our workload, strict working hours of 9.00am - 5.30pm are not always possible.
Also due to nature of projects, Security clearance may be applied.
Salary is negoatiable depending on experience.
