High Voltage Power Electronics Design Engineer Overview Our client is seeking a High Voltage Power Electronics Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team. In this role, you will take ownership of the design, development, and optimisation of high-efficiency DC-DC and AC-DC power converters (up to 2 kW), working across the full product lifecycle — from concept and simulation through to validation and production. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure that designs meet stringent performance, reliability, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities * Design, simulate, and test DC-DC and AC-DC power converters up to 2 kW output power. * Select and evaluate semiconductors (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC/GaN) and magnetic components for optimal performance and cost. * Develop control algorithms and digital/analog feedback loops for power regulation and system stability. * Perform thermal analysis, derating studies, and ensure compliance with relevant safety and EMC standards. * Work with PCB design tools (Altium, Eagle, or similar) to produce robust, manufacturable designs. * Use simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent) to verify and optimise converter performance. * Conduct design reviews,...
