The Role
As Finance Director, you will take full ownership of financial strategy, planning, and performance across a high‑profile business unit. You will lead a team of finance professionals, driving excellence across financial reporting, control, budgeting, and commercial insight. You will work closely with the CFO through a dotted‑line reporting structure, influencing key decisions at both operational and strategic levels. This role is central to shaping the financial direction of a large, multi‑site, fast‑paced organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a finance team.
Provide strategic financial leadership, supporting long‑term planning and business growth initiatives.
Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
Deliver insightful commercial analysis to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
Enhance financial controls, governance, and processes across a complex business environment.
Partner with senior stakeholders across operations, supply chain, and group functions.
Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and financial performance.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a proven finance leader with experience operating in a large, complex, and fast‑paced organisation.
You will have:
Full accounting qualification: ACCA, ACA, or CIMA
5+ years PQE, ideally with experience at a senior finance leadership level
A track record of leading teams and influencing executive stakeholders
Strong technical and commercial finance expertise
The ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving business environment
Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills
Available to start at short notice
