Key Responsibilities
1. Review and provide legal advice on title matters.
2. Review and advise on corporate structures and governance arrangements.
3. Conduct and manage litigation matters, including issuing and defending proceedings, debt recovery, and forfeiture actions.
4. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and property-related agreements, including but not limited to:
5. Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
6. Management agreements
7. Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
8. Headleases and underleases
9. Letting agreements
10. Partnership agreements
11. Draft and review introductory agreements.
12. Draft, review, and advise on tenancy agreements, including:
13. Licences
14. Assured Shorthold Tenancies (ASTs), including supported housing and care-related documentation
15. Support eviction proceedings as required.
16. Act as the responsible person and key administrative point of contact for matters relating to Companies House and HM Land Registry (HMLR).
Qualifications and Experience
17. Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales (or equivalent qualification).
18. Current practising certificate.
19. Strong post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial, corporate, property, or real estate law, gained either in private practice or in-house.
20. Demonstrable experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial and property-related agreements.
21. Sound understanding of corporate structures, governance, and Companies House requirements.
22. Experience handling or overseeing litigation matters, including debt recovery and property-related proceedings.
23. Familiarity with landlord and tenant law, including tenancy agreements and eviction processes.
24. Experience with finance, loan, and security documentation.
25. Ability to work autonomously in an in-house environment and manage multiple matters concurrently.
26. Strong commercial awareness with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
27. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external advisers.
