Milk Education is working with a number of secondary schools across Leeds and Wakefield looking for enthusiastic and reliable MFL Cover Teachers and Cover Supervisors to support French, Spanish, and German lessons.
These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about languages and want flexible, rewarding work in schools — whether you’re a qualified teacher, an ECT, a languages graduate, or an experienced cover supervisor with an interest in MFL.
About the Role
You’ll be stepping into modern foreign languages classrooms to ensure students continue learning in the teacher’s absence. Work will usually be pre-set, and your role will be to guide, support, and keep lessons running smoothly.
You may be asked to:
1. Deliver pre-planned French, Spanish, or German lessons
2. Support students with speaking, reading, writing, and listening tasks
3. Encourage confidence and participation in language learning
4. Maintain a focused, positive classroom environment
5. Provide feedback to the department following lessons
Assignments can range from day-to-day cover to longer-term placements in schools throughout Leeds and Wakefield, depending on your availability and preference.
Who We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from:
Qualified MFL Teachers (QTS/QTLS)
Early Career Teachers looking to gain experience
Language graduates (French, Spanish, German or related degrees)
Experienced Cover Supervisors with strong MFL knowledge
Native or fluent speakers with classroom or tutoring experience
A specialism in French or Spanish is particularly in demand, but all language specialisms are welcome.
