Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to take charge of a £300m HVDC Convertor Station package.

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Project Manager you will have the following accountabilities:
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major HVDC convertor station project-from planning and design to commissioning and handover.
* Inspire and manage a multidisciplinary team including engineers, planners, and functional leads.
* Collaborate closely with SSEN, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
* Champion safety, sustainability, and digital innovation across all phases of the project.
* Drive performance through robust planning, risk management, and commercial oversight.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for a proven leader with:
* A strong track record in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
* NEC contract and commissioning experience.
* Expertise in project controls, digital tools (4D modelling, BIM, CDE), and performance metrics.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills to empower and inspire teams.
* A solutions-focused mindset and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Desirable:
* Professional membership (APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE)
* Proficiency in O365, P6, Asta
* Relevant qualifications (BSc/MSc, APM certifications)
* CSCS and SMSTS or equivalent
