At Oakbrook, we’re simplifying and personalising borrowing to help people take control of their finances. Through smart use of data and technology, we’re making lending fairer, faster, and easier to understand.


We recently launched OakbrookOne, a new kind of debt consolidation loan designed to help people simplify their repayments and get back on top of their finances. We’re now looking for a commercially-minded marketing lead to help drive growth, build brand presence, and scale performance across direct channels.


The Opportunity

This is a critical, newly created role at a pivotal point in Oakbrook’s journey. We're looking for a Growth Marketing Lead who can immediately take ownership of our direct marketing and social strategy—attracting and converting prospects, activating past customers, and building long-term engagement.


This role sits at the intersection of data, content, AI, and performance, and is ideal for someone who thrives on measurable impact. You’ll lead CRM, drive social content strategy, and support our partner performance funnel—bringing insight, energy, and execution to every stage of the customer journey.


You'll also work directly with Oakbrook's executive team, including founders and the CEO. This is a rare opportunity to shape strategy at the highest level—and see your impact felt across the business.


Key Responsibilities


1. Direct Marketing & CRM

* Build and manage a structured CRM program across email and SMS to drive acquisition, activation, and re-engagement
* Segment and target audiences using customer behaviour, credit attributes, and engagement history
* Launch regular campaigns with clear objectives—application uplift, lead conversion, cross-sell, or reactivation
* Optimise for performance with continuous testing and iteration on subject lines, formats, and creative


2. Social Media & Content Performance

* Own strategy and day-to-day execution for organic social (TikTok, Meta, Instagram) with a focus on growth
* Develop high-quality, high-frequency content to engage and educate around money, credit, and debt consolidation
* Measure and report on the impact of social activity—demonstrating how it drives awareness, traffic, or conversions
* Build a rapid content production model using test-and-learn frameworks, including short-form video, testimonials, customer stories, and explainers


3. Commercial & Funnel Insight

* Track and optimise core lending performance metrics: approval rates, funnel conversion, CPA, and funded loan volume
* Analyse channel performance and work closely with Credit and Data teams to identify key levers for growth
* Support aggregator relationships—particularly around growing OakbrookOne awareness
* Provide strategic input on offer positioning, landing page optimisation, and customer value propositions


4. Generative AI–Driven Delivery

* Fully embrace the use of generative AI across content, creative, and insight delivery
* Use AI tools to scale output—delivering what would traditionally require a larger team
* Drive innovation in how we test and launch campaigns using tools such as ChatGPT, image/video generators, email optimisers, and AI analytics
* Bring a mindset of experimentation, automation, and performance—accelerating speed to market without compromising quality
* This is not optional: the successful candidate will be expected to operate in a modern, AI-first marketing environment from day one


5. Leadership & Executive Exposure

* Manage and mentor an offshore content and campaign delivery team (2 FTEs), setting clear objectives and building marketing capability over time
* Define workflows and accountability to ensure high-quality execution across email, social, and creative assets
* Support personal development of offshore team members—providing regular feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities
* Collaborate directly with Oakbrook's senior leadership—including the CEO and founders—on growth priorities, brand direction, and campaign effectiveness
* Operate with autonomy while building trust through clear insight, performance reporting, and consistent delivery


What We’re Looking For

You’re a proactive, performance-driven marketer who’s comfortable taking ownership and operating independently. You’re just as comfortable deep in campaign metrics as you are leading strategic conversations with senior stakeholders.


Essential:

✅ Proven track record using CRM/email marketing to drive revenue, conversions, or customer retention

✅ Demonstrable success using organic social (especially TikTok or Meta) to build engagement, brand awareness, or sales

✅ Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of key metrics in a lending or D2C environment

✅ Analytical and data-driven—comfortable using dashboards and campaign performance tools

✅ Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

✅ Hands-on mindset—you’re comfortable writing, testing, and launching content without needing layers of support

✅ Proven ability to leverage AI tools to deliver multi-channel campaigns, content generation, and performance insight


Bonus:

* Background in fintech, lending, or regulated consumer finance
* Experience owning a marketing P&L or managing a performance target
* Confident briefing and overseeing freelancers or third-party creatives
