Role Title: Bendi Truck Operative
Salary: £29,498.12
Hours: 38 hours per week
Role overview:
* Co-ordination and despatch of products to customers and inventory of stock levels. Maintain excellent delivery performance.
Main activities/responsibilities/key tasks:
* Maintain high standards of Health, Safety and Environment in working environment, by adhering to training, training records and PPE.
* Plan and co-ordinate the receipt of product into the Warehouse and the controlled exit of product to customers. First point of contact for hauliers and carriers.
* Accurate picking of customer orders as per the customer picking list/requirements.
* Accurate checking of customer orders as per the company procedures.
* Utilisation of correct FLT techniques to store and remove product and pallets from the racking system. Follow correct storage procedures i.e. no mixed product on a pallet, and store product in the correct location
* Efficient utilisation of space in the designated Quarantine area, Returned Goods, Goods Inwards.
* Utilisation of automated and computerised systems to print picking lists and labels.
* Ensure Warehouse systems are maintained and 100% inventory accuracy.
* Meet/exceed productivity targets as set by internal procedures. Encourage teamwork within the workforce.
* Maintain the housekeeping of work area e.g. sweep, clean, and maintain a clean, lean environment.
* Ensure correct loads are complete and accurate prior to despatch.
* Report all non-conformities, product contamination, near misses, health and safety risks and ensure corrective action is maintained.
Resource management responsibilities (e.g. employees, finance, other):
* Ensure accurate stock control via cyclic counts, stock consolidation, Goods Inwards, Batch Release Testing (BRT) processes
Performance Measures (KPIs):
* Stock accuracy – measurable by annual stock take
* Despatch errors – measurable by the number of associated Customer Complaints
* Follow internal procedures and Quality matters
* 5S audit standards as per agreed housekeeping targets for area
* Internal Transport charges for late delivery
* Adaptability, Flexibility, Capability – measurable via Annual Appraisals and ad hoc FFSs
* Zero accidents relating to duties
Knowledge, skills & experience:
* Truck training as applicable: FLT Licence (Bendi);
* Warehouse experience
* Interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to customer service
* Good written and numerical skills
* A flexible approach to work, along with the ability to work as part of a team
* Good time keeping and attendance record
