Your new role As Health & Safety Officer, you will support the Health & Safety Manager in the delivery and continuous improvement of HSEQ systems across all projects. This is a varied and hands-on role within a fast-paced construction environment, requiring both initiative and strong collaboration with operational teams. Key responsibilities will include: Supporting the implementation and development of HSEQ systems across the business Assisting with the generation and maintenance of compliance and quality documentation Supporting the reporting, investigation and documentation of incidents, near misses and non-conformances Coordinating and monitoring health & safety training and competency requirements Undertaking site inspections and audits, and supporting the preparation and review of RAMS Assisting with internal audits and maintaining ISO management systems Monitoring compliance and ensuring health & safety standards are consistently applied Working closely with site and operational teams to promote a strong safety culture Supporting the delivery of health & safety initiatives and campaigns This role will involve travel across Northern Ireland. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you should have: NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification) Experience within a construction, engineering or similar environment in a H&S role Understanding of safe systems of work and construction-related legislation Experience supporting or working within ISO-accredited management systems Knowledge of quality assurance processes within construction Full UK driving licence (essential) You will also demonstrate: A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and develop Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability The ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability within a busy project environment What you'll get in return This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing organisation that is committed to investing in its people.
