About The Role
Position: Senior Care Assistant (Days, 33 hours per week) on a seven-day rota. HC One emphasises kindness in Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care. You will work to give residents security, dignity and independence, know residents and families, and lead a team of Care Assistants to maintain high standards of care. You may assist with activities, support residents at mealtimes, communicate with families, and administer medications under supervision.
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement personalised care to give residents a sense of security, dignity and independence.
* Know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and influence the rest of the team to maintain high standards of care.
* Support residents in daily activities, including using walking aids and assisting at mealtimes.
* Communicate with residents’ families as needed and provide reassurance.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
* Administer medications as part of care duties.
* Maintain accurate records of the care you provide and build strong team relationships.
Qualifications
* Ideally, Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) with readiness to work towards Level 3 in Adult Care or equivalent.
* Experience with person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Essential: positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, time management, and a considerate and kind communication style.
