The Opportunity
Supply Desk is currently recruiting for a passionate and nurturing EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Watford. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, ideal for an enthusiastic educator ready to lay the foundations of learning for young children.
You’ll be joining a committed team focused on early childhood development and creating a safe, stimulating, and joyful environment for every child to thrive.
Your Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching across the Early Years Foundation Stage, following the EYFS Framework
* Create engaging, play-based learning experiences that promote curiosity and development
* Support children’s progress in communication, literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional development
* Use formative assessments to tailor activities and inform planning
* Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged
* Maintain open communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress
* Work closely with classroom support staff and early years specialists to maximise learning opportunities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and have experience teaching within the EYFS
* Be knowledgeable in the EYFS curriculum and best practices in early childhood education
* Be warm, caring, and patient – with a genuine love for teaching young children
* Have excellent behaviour management and organisational skills
* Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
* Hold or be willing to obtain a clear, enhanced DBS check
