Director, EGB/SSA/Covered Cash Trader, London
Position & Team Overview/Highlights:
Contributes to the success of the London cash hub trading EGBs (Germany and France specific) and EUR SSA/Covered, ensuring the execution and delivery of individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team’s business strategies. Ensures all activities comply with regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
This role is within the scope of the PRA/FCA Certification Regime and requires internal certification as a significant harm function.
What You’ll Do:
- Promote the London cash hub secondary trading franchise by providing market-making and information services for the bank’s global client base across time zones, focusing on EGB bonds (Germany and France), EU SSA, and EU covered bonds.
- Drive new initiatives across products and currencies aligned with local and global strategies to expand the franchise’s reach and grow revenue.
- Confidently use cash and derivative instruments to maintain and risk-manage the market-making books, ensuring compliance with set limits at all times.
What You’ll Bring:
- Undergraduate Degree in Economics
- FCA Registration
- EGB and EUR SSA market-making experience
- Financials/covered bond market-making experience
- Existing client relationships
- Systems knowledge including Bloomberg, Market Axess, Tradeweb, Candeal, Brokertec, etc.
- Successful completion of the NFA’s Swaps Proficiency Requirement (SPR) before engaging in in-scope activities.
