Assistant Headteacher The Education Network is currently recruiting for an Assistant Headteacher with experience leading in a complex needs setting, to provide interim support for a nurturing SEND School. This role requires an Assistant Headteacher who has previous leadership experience in a complex needs provision and can play an active part in supporting the Headteacher with the day-to-day running of the school. The school is happy to consider an Assistant Headteacher from either a primary or secondary SEND background, however es committed to experience with complex needs or PMLD is essential. As an Assistant Headteacher you will be joining a dynamic and supportive leadership team that is committed to providing every child with an outstanding education. Due to the nature of this role applicants without previous Assistant Headteacher experience will not be considered. Job Role: Supporting the leadership across the school Providing guidance and direction to teaching and support staff to deliver outstanding practice Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for every child Supporting staff wellbeing and development through effective coaching and mentoring Ensuring that safeguarding, EHCP targets, and progress measures are consistently met across the schoolRequirements: Proven experience as an Assistant Headteacher or senior leader within a special school or SEND provision Strong understanding of complex needs, Autism, PMLD, and differentiated learning approaches Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a record of outstanding classroom practice Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills A compassionate and resilient approach to supporting children, staff, and familiesIf you are an experienced Assistant Headteacher looking to make a meaningful impact in a truly rewarding setting, this could be the perfect interim role for you.
