FINANCE ASSISTANT STOKE ON TRENT TEMPORARY FULL TIME UP TO £30K DOE THE ROLE Processing supplier invoices and matching them with purchase orders and delivery notes Checking pricing accuracy and resolving discrepancies Supporting supplier query resolution and maintaining positive relationships Managing accounts payable queries and resolving issues promptly Assisting with purchase invoice analysis and weekly expenditure reporting Supporting the monitoring of company expenditure including credit card and PayPal purchases Raising sales invoices in a timely and accurate manner Updating the credit control document and ensuring accurate records Liaising with customers and internal teams to ensure deposits and balance payments are received on time Daily bank reconciliation and processing transactions through Sage Monthly credit card reconciliation and matching receipts/invoices Weekly petty cash reconciliation Responding to finance-related queries from internal departments and external clients Assisting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc finance tasks and projects WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Proven practical experience in a busy finance or accounts environment Strong communication, administrative and organisational skills Excellent attention to detail The ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines Good IT and database skills Experience of Xero would be preferred Knowledge of VAT on purchase and sales invoices HOW TO APPLY For more information on the Finance Assistant role, please contact Rob Hulse at Intro Personnel on 01782 413307 or send your current CV Due to the expected high number of applicants for the Finance Assistant role, we regret that it may not be possible to respond to all unsuccessful applications.
