Job Description

We have an opportunity to join Eventor as an Event Team Leader, supporting F1 contracts. This is a full‑time, permanent role based at our Warrington site.

As an Event Team Leader you will deliver consistent performance by overseeing and being responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the operation to ensure that all daily targets are met in a cost‑effective, efficient and safe manner in line with our policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for customer and in‑house KPIs and lead continuous improvement activities within the sector.

This role supports the Event Manager in managing the day‑to‑day operation; ensuring adherence to all company and legislative compliance standards and supporting truck movements within UK/Europe in accordance with the F1 season calendar following cross‑border movement legality. When at events, you will carry out technical trailer/pod builds following SSW/toolbox talks and written processes in line with customer schedules.


Key Responsibilities of an Event Team Leader

* Transport high‑spec cargo, following legal, compliance and Brexit perimeters.
* Prepare and load equipment, and deliver and set up at the event, breaking down the event and transporting specialist equipment to the next location.
* Maintain attention to detail throughout the event, continuously monitoring the appearance of every piece of equipment.
* Complete customer event reports.
* Shadow the Event Manager on budget management, raising POs, ensuring all customer work has POs prior to start.
* Perform manual technical trailer and pod builds, maintenance, cleaning and ensure everything is operational on agreed timescales for customer.
* Support the Event Manager in strategically planning resources.
* Ensure all trucks have relevant kit, fuel cards, toll boxes, various taxes for crossing borders.
* Assist in accident investigation and follow‑up.
* Ensure all vehicles operate at a Formula 1 presentation standard during the race season.
* Support the Event Manager to ensure all legal documentation is present for trucks/trailers (permission to drive letters, certificates of conformity, insurance, V5, EU community licence, truck tacho calibration, insurance green card, ECMT certificates of roadworthiness, low‑noise Austria, trailer registration, ECMT cert of compliance, trailer goods‑in‑transit insurance).
* Understand exit and entry declarations and GVMS route logs.
* Assist with WTD booklets while drivers are on event or work ensuring hours are logged correctly.
* Oversee all driver hours, ensuring they have enough hours for the task.
* Assist manager with paddock plans and scheduling for build and de‑build for personnel.
* Commit to full F1 calendar, working away from home from 1st May to mid‑September annually, working during event weekends and off‑season preparation.
* Outside the Formula 1 season, support Class 1 tramping and general haulage duties (deliver, collect to RDCs, store deliveries, unloading). This role may involve manual handling, drop‑and‑swap store deliveries.
* Support customer requirements for non‑European events year‑round as required.


Qualifications

* Experience of working within a Motorsport / F1 environment – desirable.
* Awareness of customer contractual obligations.
* Working knowledge of UK drivers' hours and WTD legislation.
* Working knowledge of tachograph legislation.
* Full understanding of the Stobart accident investigation process.
* Working knowledge of Stobart systems (Microlis).
* IT literate – Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
