PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a key member of the wider IT Training team, reporting to the IT Training Manager, you will play a vital role in advancing Addleshaw Goddard's strategic objectives by designing, developing, and delivering a diverse range of in-house IT training solutions.
The IT Trainer plays a key role in developing the Firm's digital capability by delivering high quality training, learning solutions and digital content across our UK and international offices. This role blends traditional training expertise with modern digital learning approaches, including the effective use of AI driven tools, cloud-based applications and leading content creation platforms. The post holder will work closely with the IT Training Manager, IT Service teams and project stakeholders to support system adoption, skills development and organisational change.
This position requires flexibility, as you may occasionally need to work from any of our UK and European offices to meet service demands.

THE TEAM
The Addleshaw Goddard IT Training Team is a key resource supporting 3,200+ employees globally. As our firm continues to grow and innovate, we are looking for an IT Trainer to join our dynamic, customer-focused team.
In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the high standards of training across a range of essential, commonly used programs, our proprietary in-house applications, and project-specific solutions. You will play a critical role in supporting the business, ensuring our people are proficient and confident in the technologies they use daily.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
The following list is not exhaustive but outlines the core responsibilities of the role.
AI Enabled Learning & Digital Capability
• Assist with the integration and adoption of AI driven learning tools, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Teams AI features and other modern workplace technologies.
• Confidently train colleagues on market leading apps, cloud services and AI powered productivity tools used across the Firm.
• Identify opportunities to enhance learning using AI, automation and emerging digital platforms.
• Act as a subject matter expert in digital learning technology, advising on tools and approaches that improve learner engagement and capability.
Learning Design & Digital Content Creation
• Design, develop and maintain high quality training materials across multiple formats, including eLearning, video, microlearning, simulations and digital guides.
• Use leading authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Premier Pro, Canva) to produce interactive, accessible and visually engaging content.
• Develop blended learning pathways combining self-directed digital modules, virtual training, in person delivery and reinforcement content.
• Produce professional digital assets such as explainer videos, step by step demos, graphics and quick reference materials.
Training Delivery
• Deliver engaging, effective training on Microsoft Office, in house applications and business critical systems.
• Tailor delivery style to suit differing learning needs, abilities and working preferences.
• Provide mentoring, coaching and constructive feedback to support learner development.
Project & Change Support
• Support the successful delivery of IT and transformation projects through targeted training.
• Act as Training Lead for projects where required, including training needs analysis, content creation, training delivery and support.
• Contribute to testing, user readiness and feedback cycles to ensure smooth rollouts.
Collaboration & Service Support
• Work with the IT Training Manager to support the Firm's IT Training Strategy and learning plans.
• Partner with the IT Service Desk to identify trends and create clear guides and “how to” resources.
• Build strong relationships with Business Services teams and legal practice groups to promote a positive, proactive learning culture.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
• Evaluate training effectiveness, using learner feedback, data insights and performance analytics to recommend enhancements.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance and training allocation.
• Ensure consistency, accessibility and accuracy across all training materials and digital content.
Travel Requirements
• Travel to UK offices and occasionally international locations to deliver onsite training and support, based on business needs.

YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
Any successful applicant will need the following skills and competencies:
Essential
• An IT or Training qualification (e.g., PTLLS, TAP, CompTIA CTT, CIPD, Microsoft Certified Trainer).
• Strong experience designing and delivering IT training in a professional services or corporate environment.
• Evidence of creating digital learning content using eLearning platforms and authoring tools.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Azure and modern workplace technology.
• Experience supporting project rollouts across agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Ability to translate training needs into engaging, accessible learning solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical content clearly to learners of varying abilities.
• Confident, approachable and able to engage and influence staff at all levels, including senior stakeholders and Partners.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Innovative approach, with a willingness to experiment with new learning technologies and delivery styles.
• Ability to motivate, inspire and instil confidence in learners.
Desirable
• Experience training or applying AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Teams AI, generative AI concepts).
• Understanding of digital learning principles, learning experience design and accessibility standards.
• Experience authoring interactive videos, microlearning or simulations using platforms such as Articulate 360, Camtasia or Adobe Captivate.
• Familiarity with using data insights (e.g., Power BI, LMS analytics) to enhance content or identify learning trends.
• Knowledge of legal or professional services environments.
