Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Make a Real Difference!

Hours: Full-time, term time only
Salary: £90 – £130 per day (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Start Date: November 3rd 2025
Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a passion for helping children thrive? We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to join our inclusive, supportive team and play a key role in empowering pupils to reach their full potential.
About the Role
As a HLTA, you’ll take an active role in teaching and learning across the school. From delivering pre-prepared lessons to leading interventions, you’ll help create a positive and inspiring learning environment where every child can succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead whole-class sessions in the teacher’s absence
* Support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEN and EAL needs
* Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions to boost learning and confidence
* Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to plan and assess learning
* Provide pastoral support and contribute to positive behaviour management
What We’re Looking For
* HLTA status (or equivalent qualification)
* Experience across KS1, KS2, KS3 or KS4 (flexible to your strengths)
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
* Proactive, flexible, and confident in managing behaviour
* Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
