* Deliver the Academy’s coaching curriculum, adapting sessions to align with the Club’s coaching and playing philosophies.
* Work within the coaches’ competency framework and engage in continuous professional development (CPD).
* Liaise with Lead Phase Coaches to support player transition across age groups and phases.
* Implement policies and practices outlined in the Academy Performance Plan (APP).
* Ensure training and matchday delivery complies with Football League and EPPP rules.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate sports science, education, and welfare into coaching plans.
* Maintain accurate planning, reporting, and data uploads to the PMA system.
* Attendand contribute to Departmental meetings and guide where necessary
Specific tasks
* Support and lead football activities including coaching blocks, game planning, match preparation, and post-match analysis (evidenced in PMA).
* Organise and conduct individual player reviews, incorporating Individual Learning Plans and input from Science and Education departments.
* Deliver coaching hours in line with the ‘coaching working week’, managing intensity, frequency, and recovery.
* Achieve a minimum of 5 hours CPD annually to maintain UEFA B/A qualification.
* Engage with personal development plans aligned with the Head of Coaching framework.
* Implement academy playing and coaching strategies into sessions and matchday delivery.
* Support early and late developers through inclusive squad management.
* Review performance data and reports to identify player progression and potential for schoolboy contracts.
* Apply the player competency framework to monitor development against club objectives.
* Uphold safeguarding policies, support inductions, lifestyle management, and exit strategies.
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusive practices in all coaching activities.
