Business Development Manager – Public Sector (UK-Wide)
Location: Flexible/Hybrid – Offices across the UK
Are you a strategic sales professional with deep experience in the public sector IT landscape?
We’re partnering with a leading UK-based Value-Added Reseller (VAR) to find a Business Development Manager who can drive growth, open new doors, and expand existing public sector accounts across government, healthcare, education, and blue light organisations.
This is your opportunity to join a nationally respected value-added reseller (VAR) with strong vendor relationships, expert delivery teams, and a collaborative culture. If you understand how to navigate public sector frameworks and thrive in a solution-led sales environment, this one’s for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Identify and win new public sector business, working across frameworks and direct award routes.
* Build and expand trusted relationships with key stakeholders across local government, the NHS, Education, and other sectors.
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with the company’s go-to-market strategy.
* Work cross-functionally with technical pre-sales, bid teams, and marketing to deliver tailored solutions.
* Leverage a strong portfolio of services and solutions, including Cloud, Cyber, Infrastructure, Unified Comms, and Licensing.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven track record in public sector IT sales—you know your way around Local + Central Gov, CCS, NHS SBS, G-Cloud, and procurement cycles.
* Strong network and experience selling to decision-makers in local government, NHS, education, or emergency services.
* Consultative, value-led sales approach with experience managing complex sales cycles.
* Comfortable engaging vendors, aligning internal resources, and owning strategic accounts.
* Ambitious, self-motivated, and driven to exceed targets.
* A trusted name in the VAR space with multi-vendor partnerships and national reach.
* Hybrid flexibility with support from modern UK-wide offices.
* Excellent earning potential with uncapped commission.
