What You'll Be Doing Conducting Programmable Elements Safety Engineering activities such as PHA, FTA, and PSSA/SSA to support Combat System safety justifications. Determining causes of systematic Programmable Elements safety failures and carrying out common cause analysis. Defining and monitoring Programmable Elements Safety Requirements and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Leading and contributing to hazard identification workshops and safety committee meetings. Overseeing the integration and acceptance of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products. Liaising with equipment and system suppliers to review and gather safety evidence in accordance with Def Stan 00-055.
