HSEQ Manager Location: Market Harborough (HQ) with nationwide travel to live construction sites Reporting to: HSEQ Director The Role An established and growing construction contractor is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead and manage Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems across multiple live projects nationwide. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring legislative compliance, maintaining ISO management systems, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving continuous improvement across the business. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Develop, implement and maintain ISO-aligned HSEQ management systems Ensure compliance with HASAWA, CDM Regulations 2015 and the Building Safety Act Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions Review and support RAMS Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and HSEQ training Promote a proactive safety culture across projects and supply chain Environmental Support implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) Manage environmental risks including waste, dust, noise and pollution Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and client requirements Promote sustainable construction practices on site Quality Maintain and improve the Quality Management System Oversee project quality plans, ITPs and inspection processes Conduct internal audits and manage non-conformances Support project handover and quality close-out documentation Leadership & Performance Provide HSEQ advice and support to management and site teams Monitor KPIs, incidents and performance trends Support external audits and certifications Act as the primary point of contact for regulators, auditors and clients Essential Requirements Minimum 5 years HSEQ experience within the construction industry Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation including CDM 2015 Experience implementing and maintaining HSEQ management systems Strong leadership, communication and reporting skills Ability to manage multiple sites and competing priorities Full clean UK driving licence Right to work in the UK Strong understanding of risk management and incident investigation Desirable Diploma in Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related discipline ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification Experience within Tier 2 commercial or industrial construction projects Personal Attributes Proactive and solutions-focused Strong attention to detail Confident and approachable leadership style Able to influence positive behavioural change Committed to continuous improvement and safety excellence
