We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you will play a key part in ensuring materials are available to support production and customer demand.
This position would suit someone who enjoys working in a detail-driven, high-tempo environment, with strong experience across planning, purchasing, and supplier coordination.
The Role You will be responsible for executing the day-to-day supply chain plan, owning MRP outputs, and ensuring smooth material flow across the business. Working closely with internal teams and suppliers, you will help maintain delivery performance and system accuracy.
Key Responsibilities for the Supply Chain Coordinator role
Take ownership of MRP outputs, ensuring purchase requirements are generated accurately and in line with business demand
Translate demand signals into timely purchase orders, maintaining a consistent and reliable flow of materials into the business
Manage supplier schedules, proactively chasing and expediting orders to minimise disruption to production and service delivery
Identify potential supply risks early, communicating effectively and driving solutions to protect delivery commitments
Maintain appropriate stock levels across production materials, spares, and consumables, balancing availability with inventory control
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, ensuring system accuracy and supporting regular stock checks
Raise, manage, and track purchase orders, ensuring all system data is up to date and aligned with current demand
Work closely with internal teams, including production, warehouse, and service to prioritise requirements and manage shortages
Provide clear updates on material availability, highlighting risks and recovery plans where required
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, supporting delivery performance and resolving any issues quickly
Maintain accurate data within MRP/ERP systems, including lead times, pricing, and order status
Produce regular reports on shortages, overdue orders, and supplier performance to support operational decision-making
About You
Experience within supply chain, purchasing, or planning in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP experience beneficial)
Proven experience in supplier coordination, expediting, and stock management
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
This role is a full-time permanent position
Paying £30,000 plus benefits
