Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across a range of undergraduate modules in Sport and Exercise Therapy.
* Support students in developing industry‑ready skills through real‑world projects, case studies, and applied learning.
* Develop and assess student learning through innovative teaching practices and applied learning strategies.
* Contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of our Sport and Exercise Therapy curriculum.
* Provide academic support to students, promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Build and maintain industry links to enhance student experience and employability opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
* A master’s degree (MSc) in Sport and Exercise Therapy or a closely related discipline (e.g., Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation, Sports Physiotherapy, Strength and Conditioning) or willingness to work towards.
* Have a recognised membership within the field of Sports Therapy (e.g., Society of Sports Therapists, British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers, The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy).
* Demonstrable experience in an applied sports industry setting (e.g., professional clubs or clinical settings).
* A passion for education and the ability to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to continued professional development and a passion for education.
* A recognised teaching qualification e.g. PGCE or equivalent (or willingness to work towards one).
* Experience of teaching in higher education and designing/assessing academic content.
* An active interest in research or industry engagement within the field of sport and exercise therapy.
