The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is a reputable large tertiary and district general hospital that provides good clinical outcomes across a comprehensive range of services.
We are one of the largest acute and community providers in the west Midlands, having more than 850 beds on the New Cross Hospital site.
Main Duties of the Job
We are looking to appoint a UGI Consultant to join the team who has an interest in Benign UGI and HPB Surgery and is keen to lead on developing the service for the future.
The successful applicant will provide UGI and general surgical services in a theatre, outpatient, and ward setting.
Minimally invasive surgery is well established within the surgical service, including Robotic assisted colorectal surgery.

There will be opportunities to engage with research, audit, governance, and education in the UGI unit and on a wider surgical service.
The successful applicant should possess fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT or CESR at the time of interview.
