An opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Physiotherapy MSK Practitioner to participate in our Orthopaedic Optimisation project at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Trust, who is interested in further developing their skills in this dynamic and forward‑looking advanced practice MSK team. The role combines project work with clinical duties shared amongst the Advanced Practice team. You will provide leadership in expanding FCP clinics in primary care, work in MCATTC clinics in the Trust, and act as a clinical specialist in the Guys and St Thomas musculoskeletal outpatient department. You will collaborate closely with PCNs within the MCATTC team across Guys and St Thomas sites and contribute to service evaluation and dissemination of work through publications and conferences. iMSK offers injection and POCUS intervention within the service.
Responsibilities
* Lead the expansion of First Contact Practitioner (FCP) clinics in primary care.
* Provide clinical expertise in MCATTC and orthopaedic practitioner clinics.
* Deliver teaching on iMSK in‑service training programmes and support wider KHP activities.
* Engage in quality improvement, including audit and research projects.
* Collaborate with PCNs and contribute to service evaluation and dissemination (publications, conferences).
Qualifications
* MSc or equivalent degree.
* Previous experience of advanced MSK practice or clinical specialist role.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Commitment to professional development and peer support.
