Senior Aquatic Ecologist – AECOM

AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm dedicated to solving complex environmental challenges. As part of the Aquatic Ecology Team, you will contribute to projects ranging from natural resource management to large-scale infrastructure development across the UK.
Responsibilities
* Provide aquatic ecology input into EcIA, planning, mitigation, and multidisciplinary projects.
* Author technical reports and give specialist input to multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Undertake data analysis and processing for ecological assessments.
* Produce EcIA documents in line with CIEEM guidelines.
* Manage aquatic ecology input into projects, including survey design, costing, and delivery.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in industry‑standard monitoring techniques and analysis for aquatic ecology.
* Deep understanding of aquatic environmental legislation, including the Water Framework Directive.
* Experience with the EcIA/EIA process from baseline data collection to impact assessment and mitigation design.
* Knowledge of WFD compliance assessment.
* Full UK driving licence.
