What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a volunteer to help us create a regular Careers Newsletter aimed at students. The newsletter will share practical tips, job market insights, and inspiring stories to help young people feel more confident about their future.
* Research and write engaging, student-friendly content about careers, employability skills, and opportunities in the UK.
* Break down job market trends into clear, accessible advice.
* Highlight CV, interview, and apprenticeship tips that students can use right away.
* Work with us to design and structure a newsletter that feels fresh and engaging.
* Help us set up and manage a simple mailing process (e.g. Mailchimp).
Qualities And Experience That Would Help
* Strong writing and communication skills (especially tailoring content for a younger audience).
* Interest in careers, education, or youth development.
* Ability to research and simplify information.
* Creativity, reliability, and an eye for what will capture students’ attention.
* Bonus experience with newsletters, journalism, or digital content creation.
This is a flexible role, remote-friendly, and ideal for someone who wants to make a real difference in preparing young people for their next steps.
What will you be doing?
We are seeking a volunteer to help us launch a regular Careers Newsletter for students. Our workshops have reached over 100,000 young people, and now we want to provide ongoing guidance and inspiration to help them prepare for the world of work.
* Research and write engaging articles on careers, employability skills, and trends in the UK job market.
* Share practical tips on CVs, interviews, apprenticeships, and pathways into work.
* Highlight inspiring career stories and opportunities for young people.
* Present information in a student-friendly, motivating way.
* Design and send the newsletter using tools such as Mailchimp or Canva (support provided if needed).
We are looking for someone who
* Enjoys writing and can communicate clearly for a younger audience.
* Has an interest in education, careers, or youth development.
* Is creative, organised, and able to research and share useful content.
* Can commit to creating content once a month (flexible around your schedule).
This is a flexible, remote role and is a great opportunity to use your writing and communication skills to directly support students’ career journeys.
