The Logistics Department at Dumfries and Galloway Royal infirmary (DGRI) are looking to recruit a Ward Product Officer.

As a Ward Product Officer you will provide a vital role in ensuring clinical areas have the products they require to allow clinicians to provide care for patients via Ward Top Up service.

Working closely with the Logistics Manager and other members of the team you will be a key team member providing an essential role within DGRI.

Candidates require good communication skills and attention to detail, good IT skills including experience and the ability to work to tight deadlines and respond to changing priorities are necessary.

As a support service we are looking for a candidate that can demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

You will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn and have a flexible approach within the workplace.

You will be responsible to the Logistics Manager and be expected to work on your own merit and be supported by your peers and remain engaged in productive team dynamics.

Experience in manual handling is desirable though training will be provided.

Full training and development for this role will be provided.

This post will be based in DGRI Dumfries, Working hours – Mon‑Thurs 8am – 4pm + Fri 8am – 3.30pm (until 31st March 2026). Then, from 1st April 2026, Mon‑Fri 8am – 3.40pm.
