1:1 Tutor (In-Home / School Setting) – Brackley Area Location: Brackley and surrounding areas Hours: School hours (flexible within 8:30am–3:30pm) Type: Part-time / Contract Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience and qualifications) About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutor to support pupils in the Brackley area, working either within their home or in a school setting during school hours. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised learning support to pupils who may require additional help to engage with education, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Deliver tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions based on individual learning needs Support core subjects such as English, Maths, and other curriculum areas as required Create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of needs, including SEN where appropriate Monitor progress and provide feedback following sessions Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals Requirements Teaching qualification (QTS) or a minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience delivering the UK curriculum Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or support roles) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexible, patient, and reliable approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Desirable Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Background in education, youth work, or pastoral support What We Offer Flexible working hours during the school day Rewarding and impactful 1:1 work Ongoing support and guidance Opportunities for professional development How to Apply Please send your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
