QA Tester - Contract - Inside IR35 Location: Remote Contract Length: Initial 3-Month Contract Start Date: 1st April Overview We are currently seeking an experienced QA Tester to support a major analytics and reporting programme for our end client, Munich Re, one of the worlds leading reinsurance companies. This is a fully remote contract opportunity for a tester with strong insurance domain knowledge and proven experience validating complex data and analytics platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data across modern data architectures, while supporting reporting and analytics solutions used by internal stakeholders across the business. Key Responsibilities Perform end-to-end testing across data and reporting platforms within an insurance environment Validate and reconcile data within Medallion architecture layers, ensuring consistency and alignment across systems Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases across data pipelines and reporting solutions Query and validate test scenarios using SQL Server-based data warehouses and MI reports Collaborate closely with business users, data engineers, and analytics teams to validate reporting outputs and business logic Ensure data accuracy across ETL processes and reporting environments Contribute to testing strategies and ensure best practice QA processes are followed Engage stakeholders to ensure solutions meet reporting and analytical needs Required Skills & Experience 5 years professional experience in software/data testing ISTQB certification (or equivalent) Strong insurance domain knowledge, including processes, data flows, and industry standards Experience validating and reconciling data within Medallion architecture Hands-on experience with SQL Server environments and querying large datasets Experience testing data warehouses, reporting solutions, and analytics platforms Familiarity with the MS SQL Server BI suite including: SQL RDBMS SSIS SSAS SSRS Experience managing or contributing to automated testing frameworks Strong written and verbal English communication skills Desirable Experience Exposure to Informatica ETL Experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Data Factory Experience supporting analytics and reporting initiatives within insurance or financial services organisations Understanding of how advanced reporting and analytics drive business value
