Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a SEND school in Yorkshire.
The role involves supporting pupils aged 3 to 16 with a variety of specific learning difficulties, making an understanding of EHCPs essential. The school has been commended by Ofsted for providing high-quality learning experiences within a warm, welcoming, and inspiring environment.
Operating across both primary and secondary sites, the school offers an inclusive and nurturing community that supports the well-being and development of both students and staff.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will:
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update system or a willingness to obtain one
* Have relevant experience – with SEND or vulnerable individuals
* Establish a supportive and consistent relationship, promoting a positive learning experience
* Develop a knowledge and understanding of the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of the child and respond to these effectively
* Be flexible and resilient
* Possess good classroom skills
