Railpen takes a holistic view, focusing on how we serve members today and how we can positively impact the communities and the world they will retire into.To learn more about Railpen including our values, culture and purpose, visit our LinkedIn Life page## **The role**The role of Head of Member Financial Operations is to lead the operational transaction analysis and reconciliations within Member Services, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of member-related transactions. This includes overseeing key Scheme payment and processing applications, designing and adhering to an effective framework of controls, and establishing an effective partnership with Finance to ensure alignment with accounting and regulatory requirements. The role is pivotal in fostering a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and member-first service delivery through robust reconciliation, change management, and data integrity practices.This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.## **The person**We are looking for an excellent leader with experience working within Financial Services operations team, preferably with pension knowledge. You will possess a deep understanding of transaction processing, reconciliations, and sub-ledger management. Experience in transformation, including system and operating model changes, and building new teams and ways of working is key to this role. You will have a good understanding of operational controls, audit requirements, and risk frameworks and be capable of producing and interpreting MI dashboards, exception reports, and regulatory submissions.The successful candidate will possess effective stakeholder management skills and be a comfortable communicator with the ability to influence across Finance, IT, Compliance, and Member Services. You will be collaborative in your approach to enable you to establish relationships throughout the organisation, whilst instilling a culture of continuous improvement and encouraging people across the Railpen to embrace change.
