The ideal Graduate School Science Technician for this role will have:
* A recent graduate degree (2:1 or higher) in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related field
* Highly organised and detail-oriented
* Comfortable working with lab equipment and basic scientific procedures
* Enthusiastic about supporting young people in their learning
* Interested in a potential teaching or education pathway
The Role
As a Graduate School Science Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing equipment and resources for science lessons
* Assisting with practical demonstrations and lab experiments
* Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment
* Managing chemical inventories and ensuring safety compliance
* Supporting students during practicals under the direction of science teachers
* Providing general support to the science department
