Teaching Personnel are working closely with a specialist SEN school based in Ringwood that is seeking a number of experienced Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team from September.
This welcoming and well-resourced school supports pupils aged 5–16 with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). The school provides a structured and nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to thrive both academically and socially.
About the Role:
* Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small group settings
* Assisting with the implementation of individual learning plans (EHCPs)
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistency of care and learning
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN (particularly ASD, Asperger’s, and MLD)
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
