Job title: Technical Services Specialist
Location: RAF Coningsby (Full-time on site)
Salary: £37,547+ Depending on skillset
What You’ll Be Doing
* The provision of On-Aircraft technical expertise in order to achieve the Typhoon Total Availability eNterprise (TyTAN) commitments, increasing Aircraft Forward Availability and reducing asset No Fault Found Rates (NFF)
* Daily liaison with Forward and Depth engineering communities to ensure that the Technical support resource is prioritised in order to meet the deliverable timescales on current issues
* Identification of potential operator training opportunities and support the development of training packages
* Provide knowledge transfer via OJT of ‘Industry Best Practice’ and support to In-depth System knowledge briefs as required
* When required, act as the point of contact for the In Service Support Team (ISST) to assist with System Enquiry investigations, including detailed fault analysis reports
* Support Typhoon operators with Pilot de-briefs, technical investigations and the provision of effective resolution of system faults
* Working closely with operators, supervision, system design engineers, equipment suppliers, quality controllers and management both Industry and MOD
Your Skills And Experiences
* Avionics Biased hands-on (Ideally at Supervisor Level) experience on the Typhoon platform
* Typhoon Q Annotation (or Equivalent)
* HNC (or equivalent experience) in Aerospace Engineering
* Ability to give sound technical advice to the product end user and depth maintenance environments at all levels
* Experience and understanding of Engineering systems such as; trilogy View, ESS, Resolve

The Technical Support Team
The Joint Avionics Service (JAS) Technical Support Engineers (TSE) are responsible for delivering In-depth technical assistance to the Military Maintenance end user with diagnostic and maintenance recovery solutions across the Typhoon platform systems. TSE also support with the provision of aircraft fault diagnostics, transference of Industry Best Practice, specialist knowledge and techniques and provision of data analysis. This is delivered in partnership between BAE Systems and Leonardo Engineers, ensuring integration within the TSE engineering support enterprise. The JAS provide a Typhoon NFF initiative to suppress NFF arisings and through technical analysis support investigations into root cause.
