This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s 2,500 rooms.
As a Construction Engineer - Mechanical Piping, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll lead, manage and motivate the team through implementation of best practice, support continuous improvement programmes to improve process/procedures and ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site license requirements.
Day to day, you’ll take full responsibility for preparing construction work packs specific to your discipline and record all relevant information (like RFIs and FCRs) in the AS9 system.
• Help plan and schedule tasks for your discipline to keep the project on track.
• Identify the available workfront for the discipline through detailed constructability reviews and the associated installation schedule.
• This may include writing method statements.
• Focus on getting the right documents ready in time to support construction activities—ideally, three months before the work begins.
This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week and based In Hessle, Hull. Essential experience of the Construction Engineer - Mechanical Piping

• Degree qualification or equivalent vocational training and experience of installing Mechanical and Piping systems.
