The Assembly Operative will be expected to achieve high standards of quality, in line with targeted levels of output whilst working safely and maintaining full product traceability. You will be working as part of a team, and you are expected to contribute to improving any working processes.
Assembly Operative Pay, Hours and Benefits
* £33,414 (which includes hight working shift allowance)
* 10:00pm – 7:30am Monday to Thursday (4-day working week, no Friday working)
* 32 days holiday’s including bank holidays
* Above average company pension contribution
* On site Gym
* Secured Parking
This Position is Commutable From: Accrington, Blackburn, Burnley, Chorley, Bury, Rochdale
Assembly Operative Key Responsibilities
* The Assembly Operative will prepare work to be accompanied by studying assembly drawings, bills of materials, parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
* Assemble components to drawing requirements, fastening parts and subassemblies.
* Verify assemblies to drawing requirements.
* Resolve assembly problems by notifying the Co-ordinator.
* Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
* Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
* Use computers in order to extract data.
* Contribute in a team working environment.
* Contribute to continuous improvement.
* Observe and practice the 5S principles.
Assembly Operative Candidate Requirements
* A methodical approach to systems and understanding of the importance of standards and established/agreed systems of work.
* Able to make decisions based on experience, have confidence to act and make changes within given boundaries.
* Good personal organisation under pressure from time, internal and external customers.
* Computer literate.
* Time management skills.
* Ability to read & interpret drawings.
* Good verbal communication and listening skills.
