We’re looking for a Part-Time Customer Service Agent to join our friendly team in Preston, Lancashire. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, helping to resolve queries, process orders, and ensure a smooth experience from start to finish. Working hours are Wednesday & Thursday, 12 noon – 5pm and Friday 8.30 am – 2.30pm (16 hours per week).
You’ll play a key role in supporting our customers and internal teams by:
1. Responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues with care and efficiency
2. Managing order tracking, invoicing, returns, and discrepancies
3. Supporting the sales team with quotes, stock queries, and reporting
4. Maintaining accurate records and documentation
5. Identifying opportunities to improve our processes and customer experience
6. Ensuring customer complaints are handled fairly, quickly, and effectively.
7. Collaborating with peers and contributing to a positive team environment
You might be a recent graduate, returning to work, or looking for a career change. What matters most is your enthusiasm and willingness to learn, passion for customer service and putting the customer at the heart of what you do.
Our successful candidate will need:
8. Basic computer skills and a keen eye for detail
9. A proactive attitude and strong communication skills (telephone, online and email)
10. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
11. A self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and able to work under own initiative.
