Job Title: Rough Sleeper Worker (Temporary) Location: Leicester Hours : 28 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Hourly Rate: £17£19 per hour via umbrella Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Rough Sleeper Worker to join a housing team in Leicester on a temporary basis. This is a part-time role, primarily office-based with some flexibility for remote working. You will provide intensive housing management and support to individuals currently living in temporary accommodation across the city. Daily contact with customers at their homes will be a core part of your role, alongside maintaining accurate administrative records and managing key housing data systems. Key Responsibilities: Provide intensive housing management support as a Rough Sleeper Worker to individuals placed in temporary accommodation. Deliver daily contact and tenancy support directly at clients' homes. Offer advice and guidance on housing options, tenancy sustainment, and benefits. Maintain accurate customer records and ensure data systems are kept up to date. Carry out daily administrative tasks in support of the housing service. Identify support needs and liaise with other agencies where appropriate. Work effectively as part of a team, while also managing tasks independently. Respond to challenging behaviours and difficult situations with professionalism and empathy. Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience as a Rough Sleeper Worker or in a similar role within housing, homelessness, or supported accommodation services. Up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and issues affecting vulnerable adults. Strong understanding of homelessness legislation and tenancy-related matters. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage challenging or hard-to-reach individuals. Confident IT skills for record keeping and data management. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
