Overview
Fixed term 9 month contract for a Receptionist working 32 hours per week to join the Patient Services/Family Services Reception Team at Scunthorpe General Hospital. The postholder will predominantly work in the Obstetrics reception area, with cover of all reception areas within Family Services (Paediatrics and Gynaecology) as required. You will provide a welcoming, professional and courteous service to patients and visitors, supporting the efficient running of the reception areas across the Trust.
Responsibilities
* Provide a welcoming, professional and courteous service to patients and visitors.
* Assist patients and visitors using a variety of communication methods.
* Liaise effectively with colleagues and other departments to ensure the confidentiality of information and patient details, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, Caldicott guidelines and Trust policies.
* Cover reception areas across Obstetrics, Paediatrics and Gynaecology as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Strong customer relations and communication skills; smartly presented; ability to work in a busy, customer-facing service and maintain confidentiality.
* Experience in a reception or similar customer service role is preferred.
* Ability to work in the Obstetrics reception and cover other Family Services areas as needed.
