Deliveroo Finance is delivering a transformation programme to ensure the teams, processes and systems across Finance are optimally configured to best support the company in the execution of its strategy to achieve growth and profitability. The role will report and work closely with the Senior Finance Project Manager assisting and overseeing the project management of systems, data and process for a number of small projects within this programme as well as being a member of the Finance Projects team.
What you’ll be doing
1. Coordinating new and ongoing projects, confirming feasibility and establishing and managing budgets, teams and resources
2. Working closely with internal stakeholders to set goals and objectives, define roles and produce schedules and timelines
3. Collaborating with our Tech partners, Product Managers, Engineering Managers and third party suppliers to deliver project outcomes
4. Managing project risks including the development of contingency plans
5. Monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
6. Reporting through agreed lines on project progress
7. Liaising with key project owners to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project
8. Maintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated
9. Working with and managing expectations of Finance stakeholders
10. Being an active advocate for change and leveraging your knowledge of best practices in project management to drive continual improvement within the business
11. Utilising analytical and problem-solving skills during the planning, design, execution, and monitoring of the project
Requirements
12. At least 3+ years of project management experience
13. Demonstrable experience in assisting and/or overseeing projects throughout all phases of the project lifecycle and an understanding of key project delivery methodologies
14. Knowledge of a Project Management methodology such as PRINCE2 and APM
15. Self-driven and quick to adapt, embracing challenges with enthusiasm
16. Big Picture Vision - to zoom out from what is currently done and see why it is we need to do it. Able to quickly draw parallels and consolidate activities from diverse activities.
17. Analytical Mindset - to break down monolithic problems into clearly distinct and digestible issues and then identify options to resolve them
18. Stakeholder Partnership - to engage, influence and excite a varied team from across Finance and help instil a joint feeling of ownership and pride in any transformations
19. Project and Change Champion - to appreciate good but pragmatic project delivery practice and the importance of managing change to ensure successful implementation
20. Effective Communicator - to build and sustain effective communications with other roles involved in the project including establishing a good working relationship with the Sponsor
21. Flexible approach - tailor expert knowledge to meet specific circumstances
