As a Designer at 4505, you will be responsible for designing the Womenswear and Menswear ranges for our twenty-something customer. If you love fashion design, activewear, and researching the latest trends, and want to be part of a fast-paced, fashion-forward design team, this could be the opportunity for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Researching, developing, and designing a comprehensive brand across all categories, including Womenswear and Menswear. You will identify key shapes, colors, and fabrics for the season to build the best range on the high street for our global customer base.
* Researching current and future trends from various sources to ensure 4505 remains relevant and fresh.
* Reacting to sales data to create commercially relevant, fashion-forward ranges, capturing seasonal trends within the sports and activewear market.
* Presenting trend research to other teams, including buying and commercial leadership, where relevant.
* Ensuring product alignment with brand strategy, avoiding gaps or duplication, and maintaining a logical and commercial seasonal range.
* Collaborating closely with in-house buying teams to create innovative products each season, shaping the department's direction to align with the brand and divisional strategy.
* Working with the technical team on initial fits, identifying issues, and helping to resolve them.
* Building relationships with suppliers and advising factories on design direction, construction, key details, materials, and trims.
* Adhering to critical timelines to ensure product development aligns with the best selling periods.
* Researching and developing unique products with short lead times, reacting swiftly to new trends.
* Creating detailed technical packs and overseeing designs from development to launch.
* Supporting our culture by promoting Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
Qualifications
Who We’d Like to Meet
* 3-5 years of significant experience in multi-product design within an aspirational brand, high street retailer, or activewear brand.
* Proven ability to drive departmental or brand success through strategic and commercial thinking.
* Strong commercial handwriting and a good understanding of the 4505 and ASOS brands and customers.
* Confident in presenting new ideas to the team and senior management.
* PLM knowledge is beneficial.
* Proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe, CAD, and strong hand drawing skills.
* A fashion-forward individual with strong work ethics and excellent time management.
* Ability to identify problems, suggest improvements, and remain calm under pressure.
* Effective communication skills within the team.
* Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally for supplier meetings and inspiration trips.
