Job purpose: Janes is seeking a Military Intelligence Analyst to join its Military Intelligence Team. The Janes Military Intelligence (JMI) Team provides comprehensive and connected data and insight on the world's military forces. The Military Intelligence Analyst is responsible for collecting and processing data and contextualising the data to provide insights on military capabilities. How you will contribute at Janes: Research, update and maintain Order of Battle, inventory, and installation data for an assigned area of responsibility Maintain timeliness, relevance, accuracy, and completeness of military capability reference filesfor an assigned area of responsibility Provide bespoke analytical outputs as needed for Janes colleagues and customers Collaborate with JMI colleagues on secondary responsibilities to build resilience across the team Undertake focused projects to enhance completeness and utility of JMI content across all AoRs (Area of Responsibility) The ideal skills and experience for this role are: Knowledge or genuine interest in military topics—including equipment, organisation, and operations

Experience with open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection and analysis Capacity to triangulate information from divergent sources and identify misinformation Skilled at problem solving to reach analytical conclusions despite incomplete information Deep understanding of military data and the ability to synthesise this data to provide insight Comfortable learning to use a specialised database and maintaining structured data Ability to work at a steady operational tempo and proper level of detail Adaptability – able to take on research for any countries assigned Growth mindset – willingness to grow skills to support evolution of the JMI team Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language University Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in International Relations/Defence and Strategic Studies/Defence and National Security Studies or equivalent Additional languages are beneficial 27 days of annual leave Healthy half (0.5 day leave every 6 months for wellbeing) Private medical insurance– Vitality Maternity (100% of basic salary for the first 26 weeks followed by Statutory Maternity Pay) Paternity (100% of basic salary for 6 weeks) Life cover Access to LinkedIn Learning Access to an on-site gym Life at Janes
