Overview
Are you an experienced Community Mental Health Nurse who would like to be part of an innovative integrated Community Mental Health Service? We are looking for a Senior Nurse Practitioner to join our team to work alongside our secondary care mental health practitioners and wider partners to support the delivery of our service. North Shropshire Community Mental Health service provides assessment and evidence based interventions for people presenting with complex mental health difficulties that significantly impact daily life, alongside our partner organisations.

Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
* Encourage effective engagement of those presenting with complex mental health needs, using excellent communication, compassion and hope in every contact.
* Work within a trauma-informed psychological approach to increase independence and improve quality of life.
* Engage in team-based multidisciplinary decision making to create a supportive environment for staff.
* Contribute to the clinical supervision of junior team members and students on placement where applicable.
* Provide short and longer term interventions to service users on our community caseload, working alongside a wide multidisciplinary team including Community Mental Health Nurses, Advanced Pharmacists, Non-Medical Prescribers, Clinical Social Workers, Psychologists, Consultant Psychiatrist, Occupational Therapists, Peer Support workers, Health Care Support Workers, Employment, Housing and Financial Advisors.
* Attend weekly meetings within the local mental health alliance network to coordinate services for individuals with multiple needs, risks and complexity.
Qualifications
Essential
* Registered mental health nurse on NMC Register
* Post registration experience, evidence of formal courses and training at diploma/degree level
* Registered mentor
Desirable
* Leadership qualification
* BSc degree in nursing or equivalent
* Qualification/training in supervision or coaching
* Non- medical prescriber
* Psychological interventions training/qualification (e.g., EMDR, CBT, CBT(p), Family Interventions, CAT, DBT, Structural clinical management)
* Phlebotomy training
Experience
Essential
* Extensive post-registration experience working with adults with mental health difficulties
* Experience of engaging with services for people with complex mental health needs
