As a research engineer, you
1. You enjoy working with and exploring new technologies
2. Are an outcome-oriented expert, you seek to in-depth understand end-user problems and think of innovative solutions
3. Stay up to date with the technological developments and trends in computer science, and visualization applications
4. Implement iteratively and in close collaboration with internal and external partners, first-of-a-kind prototypes and proof of concepts
5. Share and interact around your insights with peers
6. Are a team player, you collaborate with your peers, internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and demonstrate innovative solutions to challenging problems
We’re looking for a colleague who has
7. A master's degree in computer science or a closely related field or equivalent through experience
8. Strong engineering interpersonal skills: discuss technical ideas effectively with colleagues, through whiteboard, design sessions, presentations or interact directly with our pilot users
9. A background in software engineering in modern languages like C/C++, Python, TypeScript, ... and the matching language ecosystems
10. Experience with software engineering tooling and best practices like CI/CD
11. Experience with building & deploying AI models (LLMs, computer vision or predictive analytics) to solve real-world business problems
12. Understanding of neural networks, transformers and supervised/unsupervised learning ..
13. Understanding of data pipelines, managing/transforming datasets to ensure high-quality inputs for model training
