Advance HE is seeking an agile and proactive team player to provide professional legal expertise across the organization. Responsibilities include supporting tenders, commercial contracts, and managing our trademark portfolio. You will help make higher education the best it can be.
Job Requirements
Who we’re looking for: An excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex legal matters into clear language for non-legal stakeholders. Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and relevant legal qualifications are essential. 1-3 years of PQE are required.
What You Need
* Legal qualification (e.g., Chartered Legal Executive or Solicitor) or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of UK and International Commercial Law and Intellectual Property
* 1-3 years PQE or relevant experience in UK and international commercial law
* Ability to assess legal/financial risks and provide strategic advice
* Broad understanding of Data Protection (desirable)
Responsibilities
The application deadline is Sunday, 11th May, at 5 pm. Shortlisted candidates will receive a competency-based task on 13th May, due by 15th May at 3 pm. Interviews are scheduled online on 16th May.
Key responsibilities include:
* Minimize legal risks by advising on compliance with UK and international laws
* Identify contractual risks in commercial contracts and tenders
* Manage Intellectual Property Rights and oversee copyright requests
* Develop and implement legal policies and collaborate with the Data Protection Officer

The full-time salary is £43,078 per annum for a 35-hour workweek.
