Were looking for a passionate and talented Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at our popular independent gastro pub in South Harrow, London. Known for our fresh, seasonal menus and relaxed but professional service, were part of a small, quality-driven group that values creativity, consistency, and community.
Our pub includes a wood-fired pizza oven in the garden and caters for events and private bookings throughout the year so a flexible, hands-on approach is key.
The Role:
* Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
* Lead the team in their absence and ensure smooth service
* Help develop and deliver seasonal, fresh menus
* Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and cost management
* Get involved with event catering and outdoor cooking (pizza oven experience is a bonus)
What Were Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up
* Passion for fresh, seasonal food and well-executed pub classics
* Confident in leading services and mentoring junior chefs
* Good knowledge of kitchen systems and health & safety standards
* Willingness to get involved in all areas of the kitchen, from prep to pizza
* A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
