Technical Support Engineer - Electrical, Mechanical & C&I - Aldermaston, Berkshire, RG7 4PR
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £35,000 - £49,000 per annum + pension
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer specializing in Electrical, Mechanical & C&I to join our team in the Reading area. The package offers a salary between £36,800 and £49,000, depending on experience, plus allowances. Role Responsibilities:
* Support and review planning, resourcing, and creation of SSOW/RAMS documents, including risk assessments, method statements, working at height assessments, lift plans, and COSHH assessments
* Support plant-based maintenance activities involving building services such as electrical distribution, compressed air, steam, chilled water, HVAC, and AHUs
* Provide technical support to maintenance teams to ensure complex tasks are completed safely and efficiently, adhering to legislative and company standards
* Act as an interface between maintenance and engineering for minor alteration projects, sourcing spares, and identifying suitable replacement parts for obsolete equipment
Candidate Requirements:
* Engineering apprenticeship with a minimum NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in a relevant discipline, or NVQ/Diploma Level 2 plus industrial experience
* Competency in a single technical specialty or ability to work across multiple disciplines
* Leadership skills, including coaching other engineers
* Basic computer skills, including familiarity with asset management systems
* Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance
